Fiber Optic Light Guides
The fiber optic light guide uses a high output 0.66 N.A. or 0.55 N.A. glass fibers to provide
cool, uniform illumination. The fiber housing is constructed with PVC covered monocoil sheathing, PVC covered metal hose or Stainless Steel sheathing with stainless steel terminations. Distal end tips are available with a right angle, a threaded end. Also available is a Dual
Light Guide that has fibers that are housed in PVC monocoil sheathing or Stainless steel Sheathing with stainless steel terminations.

On-Axis Diffuse Illuminator
The fiber optic On-Axis Diffuse Illuminators offers an ideal solution for laboratories or industrial vision applications that involve the inspection of objects with
reflective surfaces. A small sample of those applications would included the inspection of silicon wafers, CD-ROMs, printed circuit boards, foil packs and other metallic or shiny objects that
exhibit similar reflective qualities. A standard On-Axis Diffuse Illuminator utilizes a high quality 50/50 beam splitter to direct a diffuse light source coaxial with the optical axis of the application.
With the use of coaxial lighting this techniques virtually eliminates the presence of shadows and glare. With the On-Axis Diffuse Illuminator it can be also used as an illumination source for a wide variety
of applications where other lighting techniques, such as polarizing or diffuse front lighting, have produced poor results.

Quartz Fiber Optics
There is one grade of Silica clad and three grades of polymer clad silica (PCS) fibers that are manufactured, which include industrial grade (IUV), optical grade (UV) and extended IR grade for ultraviolet applications. These various grades of quartz can be used on applications including UV curing, UV microscopy, spectrophotometic studies, and photochemical analysis. At a low cost the industrial grade IUV quartz will show some fluorescents at 254nm and darken in gamma or X-ray environments. The optical grade UV quartz is virtually free of secondary fluorescence at 254nm and exhibits no discoloration under X-ray, gamma, or short UV radiation. The extended IR quartz consists of a fused silica core and a siloxane polymer cladding material allowing it to be free of the water absorption dip at 1400nm. All the quart fibers are available in both standard and custom configurations. A number of protective, flexible sheathing is offered to support a wide range of applications including PVC covered monocoil and stainless steel. The standard stainless terminations may be altered to provide threaded ends and right angle tips. Special configurations, such as lines, circles and multiple branches are readily available upon customer's request.
