Pressure Sensitive Mats
The ME151 is a pressure sensitive mat designed to provide a stop signal when a person weighing more then 77lbs (35kg) steps down on the mat. When a down force is applied to the top of the mat, the two contact elements meet sending a stop signal to a controller. A separate reset button should be located in a safe area. The ME151 is not intended to continuously detect the presence of an individual, and is safe when used for its intended purpose. They are often used to stop dangerous motion of any hazardous machinery. If product is applied incorrectly, serious injury or death can occur to people. The ME151 is suitable to detect walking aids with a diameter of 7/16” (11mm) to 3 1/8” (80mm) and an actuating force higher then 67.57lbs (300N). The contact elements cover the entire surface of the mat except ½” (1.27cm) around the perimeter and 1” (2.54cm) at the wire outlet. The maximum size of the ME151 can be 59” (1500mm) wide by 96” (2440mm) long, for larger or customized sizes contact KSE-Texas.
